Book Week & Book Parade
Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading. Students take part in fun activities throughout the week. Our community especially love the Book Week Parade where our teachers and K-6 students dress up as their favourite book character.
Bluey's Reward Day
Everyday teachers give out Bluey Awards to students who are demonstrating Respect, Responsibility and Relationships in the classroom and the playground.
Students collect and trade these for vouchers in a day of celebration held at the end of the term called Bluey's Reward Day. Some popular reward choices are change your name voucher, be the principal for the day, ice cream, mufti, stage hide and seek, shoes off, classroom swap and luck dip.
P&C Events
Join our vibrant P&C. Meetings are held regularly each term. Parents and carers are welcome to attend.
You could volunteer to help at many events including discos, Mother's Day and Father's Day stalls and help out at the uniform shop.
Join the Woy Woy South Public School P&C Facebook page to keep up to date with their events.
Grandparent Day
One of our most popular community events is Grandparent Day. Grandparents enjoy a morning tea and students love showing their grandparents around their classrooms. We also enjoy performances from our choirs and dance groups.
Easter Hat Parade
Every year we are astounded by the creativity of our students, parents and caregivers as K-2 parade around in their Easter hats. Students enjoy singing Easter songs and we love our audience joining in with the well loved Easter songs.
NAIDOC Week
Every year, Woy Woy South Public School celebrates NAIDOC Week with a variety of indigenous learning activities both inside the classroom and outside. These include Yulunga games, aboriginal art work, story telling and learning about indigenous artefacts.
Throughout the week, the school fosters respect, awareness, and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, strengthening community bonds and supporting reconciliation. Special guest speakers and local Indigenous Elders are often invited to share their knowledge and experiences, enriching the students’ learning journey with authentic voices. NAIDOC Week at Woy Woy South Public School is a meaningful celebration that inspires pride, respect, and lifelong learning about Australia's First Nations peoples.
