What is PBL?
Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a whole school approach to proactive, school wide behaviour management.
Based on research and evidence based practices, it provides strategies for all students to increase academic performance, improve safety and decrease problem behaviour.
PBL is a vehicle for establishing a positive school culture.
Woy Woy South PS have developed 3 core values to support the PBL process. These core values/rules are Repect, Responsibility and Relationships. At Woy Woy South we strive to demonstrate the 3 R's everyday both in the classroom and the playground.
We explicitly teach the social skills we expect and reward the students with Blueys, Golden Blueys and verbal positive acknowledgement. Each term we hold a Bluey's Reward Day to celebrate and recognise students who are demonstrating Respect, Responsibility and Relationships at our school.
